Recent Event - Hong Kong Renaissance
Background
"Hong Kong Renaissance" is a play that put 3 decades (50's to 70's) of time on stage.
The play will have 3 acts with monologues in between acts. Each act has a story about
each decade. With the goal of reminding those of us who came from Hong Kong what we
went through during those decades, the difficult times, and the joyful time we had,
we need to maintain the same type of spirit even when we are here in the US. When
Hong Kong was a small fisherman port, we work hard and now Hong Kong becomes a world
known city and a major financial center of the world. Can we bring the same kind of
spirit to here?
A general meeting and an audition was held on 8/28/1999. The play will have about 30
actors/actresses and many people for the back stage, make up, props, etc.
Performance Date and Location
There was a performance on 12/11/1999 at 8:00 PM at Cal State University, Long Beach.

Ticket Info
Tickets prices were $10, $20, and $50. We sold all the tickets for the play.
