Quality Acting Troupe has been producing Cantonese dramas for more than 10 years. It was founded by John Ho and a group of people who interested in stage drama. Throughout the past years, we have performed numerous plays from translated western plays to popular Chinese plays to plays written by ourselves. We have also sponsored many Chinese cultural events.
Recently, we have registered as a non-profit organization. We are called Quality Acting Troupe mainly due to the emphasis on the acting aspect of this art. We have just formed a Board of Directors that will put this organization to a more defined environment. We will continue to invite people to join us as troupe members. We will be looking forward to producing more stage drama in the future.
Our annual membership costs only $30. Membership expires on 12/31 every year and must be renew annually. For $30, you will be able to participate our plays, get discounts on our classes, our events, and our merchandises, join our events which include studio visits, seminars at Big Bear, monthly member meetings, holiday celebrations, etc. To become a member, please email to administrator@qualityacting.org.
Our next project will be a drama that depicts the lives in Hong Kong from the 50's to the 70's. This play is scheduled to performed on 12/11/1999 at 8:00 PM at Cal State University, Long Beach.
We are pleased to have a group like this in the US that will let the Chinese community to be able to enjoy quality stage drama performs in Chinese in the US.
